Pete McGlynn
Partner and Creative Director
As an original founder of Solution Group with over 30 years experience Pete is instrumental in the continual development of Solution Group as a leading design agency with a national reputation for excellence. He works with blue-chip brands and acclaimed agencies alike; consulting with CEOs, owner managers and heads of marketing on a daily basis. Pete often speaks at design festivals and is a university visiting lecturer. He is a winner of multiple National and European Design Awards including: Branding, Art Direction, Typography and Direct Mail from Roses, Fresh, McNaughtons and the Estate Agency Marketing Awards. Pete is a successful fine artist with works in many collections including the National Collection of Wales, The Ruth Borchard Collection, Northumbria University and he has also been a winner of the prestigious Northumbria University People Show. He likes riding bikes and used to be a good skateboarder.
Jon Sams
Partner and Business Director
Responsible for keeping Solution Group running like clockwork, making sure deadlines are always hit and clients get the best results for their budget. With very strong project management and planning strengths across both digital and traditional media he is heavily focussed on detail from proofing print jobs to checking code on websites. Originally trained as an accountant, his financial expertise mean our finance, admin, systems and processes run incredibly smoothly. Has in-depth knowledge of the technicalities of digital media along with encyclopaedic knowledge of the printing process. Constantly liaising with both clients and suppliers alike ensuring all projects always go to plan. Likes watching football, used to be good at football.
